Richard Lee Braga, sometimes known as Dick or Dickie, was born to Richard Perry Braga & Virginia Hester (Bagwill) Gardner on December 21, 1938 in National City, California

In 1964, he met and married Sharon Stensland in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. They had five children together. He passed on January 19th, 2018 in Anchorage, Alaska at Providence Alaska Medical Center, Anchorage

He is preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Gardner and his father Richard Braga.

He is survived by his five children:Suzanne & (Jim) Evans,John & (Sherry) Braga, Lisa Church, Sarah & (Billy) Miller and Mary & (Mark) Matthews, twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Elaine Braga, Brenda Wilson, Debbie Harris, Tami Ruldoph and his brothers, Dennis Goodwin and Timothy Blackford along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other family.

Throughout his life he attended the United Pentecostal Church. He loved God with all his heart and loved reading the Bible. He worked on the Alaska Pipeline and in general construction plus had also been a salesman. He could sell anything to anyone!

He loved traveling; he has been to 49 states and he enjoyed meeting people. No-one was a stranger to him! Alaska was his home, but his heart was in sunny California. Anyone who knew him, would know he had a love for clothes. He was always a sharp dresser. Chocolate milk, ice cream, and going to coffeee shops was his favorites. He also liked fishing, camping, and going to the beach.

His memorial service was held on January 22nd, 2018 at Life Church in Anchorage, Alaska
