Micah Jesse Hammett, 19, passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 17, 2014, at his home in Anchorage, Alaska. Micah was born on May 15, 1995, in Seattle, Wash., to Ted and Renee (Nelson) Hammett. His family moved to Alaska in 1995, and have loved living here ever since. Micah graduated from Highland Tech in 2013, and has been working for Extreme Construction since 2012. He loved the hard work and closeness of his construction family. In his spare time, Micah enjoyed Warhammer (gluing and painting small figures to create battle scenarios). He practiced the art of Judo and MMA at Greatland Martial Arts and go loved to go hiking anywhere and everywhere. He enjoyed fishing, four wheeling and most anything outdoors. His family will always remember Micah as a quiet, strong and unassuming man. He enjoyed many friends because he was a good friend to all. Micah is survived by his parents, Ted and Renee; brothers, Paul and Noah Hammett, all of Eagle River, Alaska; grandparents; aunts; uncles and lots of cousins throughout the Washington State area.
