Born in Riverside, California
Resided in Big Lake, Alaska

Born in Riverside, California she was our beloved mother, grandmother, GGMa, auntie, sister and dear friend

Her early years were spent on the west coast where she raised four daughters. In the early 80’s her adventurous spirit brought her to Alaska where she lived her life to the fullest

While living in Paxon, Alaska she learned to ski, snow machine and even experienced dog mushing.

She lived in Unalaska, Alaska where she caught a 274 Lb halibut, was an active member of both the Methodist Church and Ballyhoo Lions earning multiple awards for her service including the highest of honors the Melvin P. Jones. During her stay in Unalaska she walked in the 4th of July parade and became the Grand Marshall her final year.

She left her mark and made friends in Anchorage, Bird Creek, Coldfoot, Sand Point, Deshka River Lodge and most recently in Big Lake.

She dearly loved her family, friends and Olive. She started each day with a cup of coffee and crossword puzzle and loved a good game of cribbage. She delighted in finding the perfect “prize” for a loved one whether it was an item she purchased, baked, sewed or crafted. She was a proud democrat and would willingly and enthusiastically debate anyone who thought different.

Mom’s warmth and enthusiasm brought people into our lives who not only became friends but became part of our family. Because of this she is survived by too many to list and will be missed greatly by all of us.

A celebration of life will be held next spring at her “cabin in the woods” located in Big Lake, Alaska. Date to be determined
