Laura "Lauri" Whitfield, 49, passed away on Dec. 15, 2020, in Anchorage, Alaska, after a nine-month battle with cancer. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Lauri had touched throughout her life.

She was born on Dec. 12, 1971, in Lompoc, Calif., where she attended Lompoc High School. She was a active softball player and enjoyed spending time at the beach with family and friends.

Lauri moved to Anchorage in 1994 to be closer to her family, which became her home for the next 26 years. She was a loving and compassionate daughter, sister and friend, and her laugh brought a smile to all that knew her.

Lauri is preceded in death by her mother, Diane; and her stepmother, Dianne. She is survived by her father, Robert; sister, Kim; and brothers, David and wife Van, Dayton and fiancee Rachel, and Daniel and wife Gabrielle.

She will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her.
