Resided in Anchorage, Alaska

Kenneth, "Ken," Lee Elie, born in Ketchikan, Alaska on May 27, 1960 passed away on January 22.

Ken is survived by his mother, Ethelyn, "Dot," Cogo-Steinke; siblings, Diane Wait, Mark Elie, Alisa Elie, Harry Elie Jr., Patrick Elie, Nancy Rosenblad Elie, Stephen Elie, Timothy Elie and Pamela Graff; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Harry James Elie; and his grandmother, Nellie Maddix.

Ken's charismatic, humorous character and his bellowing laugh filled the room with joy, and his engaging personality enabled him to live vivaciously using his gift for gab and his innate ability as a born salesman and conversationalist. Ken loved to fish, read western novels, and was a great history buff. One of his favorite actors was John Wayne, whom he met as a young boy while living in Ketchikan.

Although Ken was born and raised in Ketchikan, Alaska, he lived in Anchorage for more than 20 years. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. There will be a viewing at Cremation Society of Alaska and to honor his wishes Ken will be returned home to Ketchikan where his ashes will be spread at Mountain Point, Ketchikan Creek, and near his Grandmother's Nellies grave site.
