Born in Palo Alto, California
Resided in Wasilla, Alaska

John William Twelvetrees, age 76, of Wasilla, Alaska, passed away peacefully with friends by his side on Sunday, March 8, 2020.

John truly loved calling Alaska his home for close to 20 years, he worked many years in the mining industry, he owned and operated a wrecking yard and was a gifted welder. Always learning new skills and teaching himself tricks of the trade. He was an avid reader of Politics and Presidents. John loved tractors, freedom, cooking and cars.

John was a simple man with a heart of gold. If you were lucky enough to call John your friend then you know how blessed you are to have had him in your life-he will be deeply missed. As for his family and loved ones, he will live in our hearts forever and when John’s most infamous quote “fair to midland” is heard, we will all simply smile.

John is survived by his two sons, Jon and Mike, grandson Hunter, and sister Barbi.

At this time a service date has not been set. When conditions allow, a tribute with family and friends will be determined.

Fly high John straight into the arms of God.

May He Rest In Peace
