Harold F. Roberts, 85, of Alexander Creek, Alaska, passed peacefully of natural causes at Alaska Native Medical Center with his daughters by his side.

He grew up at the family homestead at of Alexander Creek. Hunting, fishing and trapping was a way of life that would carry over into his adulthood, where he was hunting guide commercial fisherman at Cottonwood beach in the Cook Inlet, and then later a commercial drifter Bristol Bay out of Clarks Point until he retired. He also served in the Army and was later discharged honorably. Harold was known for his kindness. tenacity and love for life; he loved hard and played hard.

Harold was preceded in death by his father, Thomas F. Roberts; mother, Vera N. Giese; his wife, Joyce Roberts; brothers, Earl F. Roberts, Lawrence E. Roberts, Thomas S. Roberts, Corporal Leonard W. Roberts and Donald J. Roberts; two sisters, Vera V. Rodekohor and Elsa W. Trover; daughter, Christina L. Roberts; and granddaughter, Laurie A. Wilmoth. He is survived by his daughters, Lorna D. Roberts, Teresa M. Roberts and Julia Lee; grandchildren, Jeremiah T. Wilmoth, Elaina B. Matlock, Justin Dicus, Elizabeth Lee and Robert Le; great-grandchildren, Amber Cramer, Autumn Cramer, Adam Ross, Emily Wilmoth and Aiden Pines-Matlock; and great-great-grandchildren, Brooklynn, Camrynn and Liam. He also had many nephews and nieces; the ones he was closest to were Billy Hightower, Kenny Hightower, and Jimmy Hightower, Earl Roberts Jr.(deceased) and Little Harold Roberts.

Harold will be taken home to family's native village of Alexander Creek to scatter his ashes along with his daughter Christina later this summer. We will schedule a celebration of life when the current situation subsides, and it is safe to do so
