Obituary

Anchorage resident, Dwight Charles Savery, 71 passed away in his sleep January 14, 2014 at home.

Dwight was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a die hard Yankee fan. He worked in Alaska over 40 years as a bartender at LaMex, the Moose Lodge and the Timeout Lounge retiring only after having a heart attack behind the bar. He spent the remainder of his years rooting for his beloved Yankees. He made countless friends over the years and will be dearly missed.

At his request, there will be no services. He will be laid to rest with his mother and brother in Missouri Valley, Iowa.

Survived by his family, Mary Savery; Danny Taylor; Susan Huard; and Rick Taylor and his dear friend, Chuck Perry.
