Born in Minot, North Dakota
Resided in Anchorage, Alaska

Carrie Fern Pierce (née Storkson), beloved wife, mother, sister, and daughter passed away on Nov. 20, 2018, in Anchorage, Alaska.
Carrie was born in Minot, N.D. on June 23, 1975, to her parents, Allen Storkson and Cheryl Laber (Childress). She grew up on a farm in North Dakota and attended Newburg Public High School and then Minot High School where she graduated in 1993.
Carrie moved to Anchorage in 1996. It was there she met her future husband and love of her life, Steve Pierce, and together they raised their son Ethan Storkson. She loved both of them with all of her being. Carrie had the kindest heart, with a marked softness for animals and children. She had a witty sense of humor, an infectious smile and a contagious laugh. The simple things in life are what Carrie enjoyed most: fishing on the Kenai, walking her dog, bingo, game nights with friends and family, and quiet nights at home with her family.
Carrie is survived by her husband, Steve Pierce; son, Ethan; stepchildren, Devyn and Nesa; sisters, Robyn (Dan) Jordan, Letticia (Mike) Cragen, and Brook (Brent) Nelson; brothers, Wayde Storkson and Sam (Nichole) Storkson; parents, Allen and Shirley Storkson, and Cheryl Childress; and grandchildren, Eiley, Nevaeh, Jaxson, and Alana.
She touched all of our hearts in many special ways, and we will forever have a void in her absence!
