Born in Tucson, Arizona
Resided in Anchorage, Alaska

Bud, what do you want your obituary to say? Just say: ‘He lived, He died’. Well, there was a lot of living in that space after the comma.
Born in Tucson, Arizona and residing in Anchorage, Bud passed away at home from complications of a stroke. He was ready to meet Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior; receiving a new body, walking, and no more pain. He enlisted in the Marine Corp, twice. He was an Osha Adjudicator, concealed handgun instructor. He published two books, wrote a song and sang it for Jan, his wife. He had a private and commercial pilot’s license. He was flying in Juneau, before Alaska became a state; just got in a plane and took off. He had a Commercial Driver’s License; drove a school bus and a tour bus.
He tried his hand at painting. He had his own construction company. He loved building and remodeling and operating heavy equipment. Back hoes were his favorite. Bud was instrumental in creating and naming the Honor Room at the Anchorage Police Department. He liked politics and ran for State House. Bud is survived by his wife Jan and sister Sandra. At his request his ashes will be buried next to Spooky, his little dog that he dearly loved. Bud will definitely be missed by his many friends who cared and supported him until the end. Bud was a man with many talents, but he was definitely one of a kind. Bud enjoyed taking friends to lunch or breakfast at Village Inn. A celebration of life will be held at the Village Inn, 4403 Spenard Rd., Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019 from 2 pm to 4 pm.
