Beulah P. (Rabbitt) Beaulieu, of Anchorage, Alaska, passed away on Oct. 27, 2014, at Prestige Care in Anchorage. Beulah was born the daughter of Raymond and Minnie (Beighley) Rabbitt on Jan. 3, 1928, in Holcombe, Wis. She married William "Don" Beaulieu on Dec. 18, 1946, and they moved to a farm in the Township of Cleveland, Cornell, Wis., where they lived for 28 years, before moving to Anchorage in 1975. In 1976, Beulah began work at Carriage House as a level three nursing assistant. Carriage House moved its location to where the old Providence Extended Care Center was located, on Cordova St. Before becoming PECC, it was also known as Nakoiya and Our Lady of Compassion Care Center. Beulah retired as a nationally-certified activities director in 1993. In 1996, Beulah and her husband moved back to Cornell, Wis. In February 2006, Beulah lost her husband to lukemia, and moved back to Anchorage to live with her daughter and son-in-law. On Nov. 6, 2006, Beulah suffered a stroked and had to be placed in a nursing home. Beulah is survived by two children and their spouses, daughter Diane Sanborn (Edward) of Anchorage, Alaska, and Kim Beaulieu (Linda) of Cornell, Wis.; step-daughter, Vivian (Beaulieu) Roberts.of Vancouver, Wash.; sons-in-law, Harlan Robarge and Larry Lebeis; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Beulah was preceded in death by her husband, William (Don); her parents, Raymond and Minnie Rabbitt; her sister, Mabel Holloway; her brother, Raymond Rabbitt; one son in infancy; two daughters, Jean Robarge and Anita Lebeis; son-in-law, Don Roberts; and grandson, Jeff Roberts. A memorial service will be held in the chapel at Prestige Care (Mary Conrad Center) on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. Arrangements by Cremation Society of Alaska.
