Anchorage resident, Arleen Jenice "Scooter" Sanches-Lehrbas, 57 passed away March 20, 2015 in Anchorage, Alaska.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 4-6 pm Saturday, April 4, 2014 in Anchorage.
Arleen was born October 25, 1958 in Houston, Texas. She grew up and attended school in Texas graduating from Houston High School. Arleen came to Alaska in 1993 and didn't leave, residing in Anchorage. She married Tracy Lehrbas on January 20, 2000. Arleen worked for a number of years as a staff member and program director of Campfire Alaska.
She enjoyed camping, collecting collectibles, and helping others. She enjoyed cooking especially Texas food. Arleen enjoyed getting out of town to Texas, and seeing Alaska. She did all the glacier tours, and enjoyed visiting the zoo in Anchorage and the SeaLife Center in Seward.
She is survived by her husband, Tracy of Anchorage; daughter, Angela Aggen and son-in-law, Todd of Henderson, TX; grandson, Hunter Gross of Cushing, TX; brother, Rance Wells; niece, Annie Wells and nephew, Cory Free, all of Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph B. Wells and Dolly Ann Wells Hightower and two sisters, Peggy Lynn Wells and Stacey Free.
