Long time Alaskan Annelise Hansen passed away due to complications from cancer on Tuesday, Dec. 15,2020 at Campbell Creek House, Anchorage, Alaska.

Annelise was born Feb. 22, 1948, in Copenhagen, Denmark to Ulrik and Verena Binger . In 1969, after graduating from Niels Brock Business School, she moved to Alaska and married Jens Haagen Hansen.

Annelise worked for Reeve Aleutian Airways for 22 years. In 1988, she and her husband Jens opened Jens' Restaurant where she worked until retiring in 2016.

Predeceased by her husband, Jens; her parents and her brother, Hans Binger. She leaves behind her nieces, Haydee Vestergård and Charlotte Kamilla Bock (Troy), nephew, Jens Christian Cornelius-Knudsen (Zabeth), sister in-law Rosita Cornelius-Knudsen; her good friend Darryl Block and many good friends in Alaska.

Annelise was a long-time member of Chaine de Rotisseurs and The International Wine & Food Society. Annelise enjoyed reading, knitting, quilting, cooking and gardening.

In typical Annelise "style", my aunt wrote her own obituary that you just read…she will be dearly missed by friends and family from all over the world.

It was Annelise's wish "not to trouble anybody with a celebration of life and especially now during COVID". To honor Annelise's wish we have decided to "wait and see" and hopefully invite friends and family for a "get together" in Anchorage this summer.
