Obituary

Andrew was born in Sebastopol, Calif. He grew up on a small dairy farm. He belonged to Future Farmers of America. After high school, Andy joined the Army National Guard. He drove trucks, built boats and became a journeymen carpenter. Andy married Ingrid Nicolaysen on May 6, 1961. With their three children, they moved to Anchorage, Alaska, in 1970. He built homes and apartment buildings before becoming a general contractor, he continued in construction into the 1990s.

Andy had a heart transplant in October 2001, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He returned to Anchorage to finish building his new home. Andy spent more than 35 years in AA, helping others get sober.

Andy and Ingrid spent their 50th wedding anniversary in England, Ireland, Scotland and Paris with friends in 2011.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his family, sister and brother-in-law Laura and Pat Brady. He also loved diving for abalone in California.

Andrew is survived by wife of 59 years, Ingrid Kidd; son, Todd Kidd; daughter, Kimberly Jeffrey (Kevin Spyker); daughter, Angel Eller (John Walsh); sister, Laura Brady; Rosanna Smith (Tom); grandchildren, Kelvin Eller (Monica Eller), Cayley Eller, Andrea Jeffery, Arica Jeffrey, Chloe Kidd and Cassidy Kidd; and six great-grandchildren.
