Alice Grace (Sista) Hodgdon, 53, was born in Mountain Village, Alaska, on Jan. 7, 1962, and passed away in South Naknek, Alaska, on April 8, 2015. Alice was a loving grandmother, mother, wife and sister. She graduated high school in Mt. Village and continued her education in Sitka, Alaska, at Sheldon Jackson College where she got an AA in science. Alice was also a certified Health Aide for BBAHC. Robert and Alice were married in South Naknek, Alaska, on Jan. 10, 1982. They moved home to Mountain Village, where Robert taught school. They later moved to Akiak and then returned to South Naknek, Alaska. Alice was a wonderful knitter who made beautiful socks and hats for all the nieces, nephews, kids and friends. Alice is survived by her husband, Robert; sons, Dennis and Dane; sisters, Flora Kokrine and Julia Jones; brothers, Gabriel, Charlie, Edward, Richard and David Kokrine; and grandchildren, Dylan, Archie and Amara. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Lambert and Julia Kokrine; and daughter, Janice Hodgdon. I close my eyes, what do I see? I see my wife (Alice) smiling at me. All it takes is a little tune, and She'll glide across the room. I close my eyes and what do I see my love smiling at me. Alice's laugh will be missed by many friends and family. Alice will be laid to rest April 25, 2015 at 1 p.m. in South Naknek.
