Marc Augustus Casillo, 38 of Anchorage died September 28, 2009 at his residence.
Memorial services will be held 12 Noon Saturday, October 3 at St Patrick’s Parish, 2111 Muldoon Rd. Deacon Mick Fornelli and Pastor Bradley Brisson will officiate.
Marc was born November 25, 1970 in Rochester, NY to Nunzio A. and Kathleen (Buckmann) Casillo. He moved to Alaska with his family in 1973 and attended Abbott Loop Christian School and graduated from Wasilla High School in 1989. He was employed by the State of Alaska as a Systems Programmer I.
Marc enjoyed working with computer, but can be remembered for not liking camping.
His family wrote: “Flash/Frash/Frashii was an avid gamer and computer guru known around the world. His kindness and generosity was a strength to many and his wit was second to none. There wasn’t a stray (person or animal) that he didn’t want to adopt. He loved to cook, cook, and cook and shop. He was a devoted husband, father, and mentor who could not give enough! He dearly loved his family and cared for them. He will be sorely missed.”
Marc is survived by his wife, Sandi, Anchorage; his step-son, Bryce Mahn, Anchorage; his parents, Augie and Kathleen Casillo, Canastota, NY; his sisters, Kelly Schrage, Elmira, NY and Nicolle Findlay, Canastota, NY; his grandmother, Jesse Buckmann, Lima, NY; his mother-in-law, Skye Nightsong, Dothan, AL; and his adopted brother, John Fulton.
