Ed was born November 28, 1942 in Denison, Texas to Edith Oleata (Hutson) and Benjamin Franklin Tolley. After graduating from Sherman High School in 1961, he joined the Air Force and was stationed in Galena, Alaska. His time there left an indelible mark on his heart and a special love for Alaska.
Ed spent years working as a supervisor for Exxon in the Baytown refinery before realizing his dream in 1987 when he moved Judy and the girls to Alaska. For the next 20 years, he worked with the State of Alaska Troopers and the Department of Corrections until he retired in 2008.
Ed is survived by his wife of 51 years, Judy Ann; daughter Kendra Tolley Conroy and her husband Chip Conroy of Palmer, as well as his grandsons, Ryder Scott Conroy and Garrett Turner Conroy; also, his daughter Krystal Tolley Campbell and her husband Steve Campbell of Anchorage. He also leaves his niece, Dawn Dee Riggenbach of Spring, TX and nephew, Edward Kirk Arb of Leland, NC and their families. Ed also leaves many extended family members and treasured friends throughout the world.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Katherine Ray Arb, Evelyn Joyce Tolley and Emmitt Royce Tolley.
